Life…

Life has thrown a major curveball my way this week. Posting will be sporadic at best, and I will try to keep up with shooting, but no promises made for the immediate future….

Raindrops on….

Caladium are some of my favorite plants in the world. In North Carolina we can only grow them as annuals, but I’ve planted them in my garden here in Florida and I’m hoping that they will survive the winter. I didn’t realize until the storm we had after planting that they are directly under the eaves, and thus bear the brunt of all the water overflow from the roof. We’ve had two days of storms, though, and they actually seem to be thriving!

No fireworks for us, we hung out at home and just did….. nothing.

And it was bliss.

I seem to be perpetually behind these days, most especially on the weekends when it’s hard to make myself turn on the computer for more than brief moments.

Two today. We went to the field this morning for the first time in ages (we’ve been locked down by the heat during the day).

If you’ve never stood in a pile of fire ants….. don’t. It hurts. A lot.

And finally, Draya, enjoying the fresh air and freedom!
